Public Hearing on Property Zoning Change July 16
Announcement
The Charlotte Planning Commission will hold a public hearing via Zoom on Thursday, July 16 at 7:00 pm on a proposed repeal to a portion of the Town of Charlotte Land Use Regulations submitted by petition. The proposal would reduce the “Parking, Loading, & Service Areas” standards for Site Plan Review (Section 5.5). Essentially, this would eliminate the requirement that parking areas be located to the side or rear of the building, vs. in front.
This proposed change was brought to the Planning Commission by petition from concerned residents. This is the first of two required public hearings on the proposal. If eventually endorsed by the Selectboard, this change will be placed on the town ballot for a vote in the November general election.
The full text of the proposed changes, meeting agenda, the required Planning Commission report, and login instructions to this virtual (online) Planning Commission hearing, can be found at this page.
